As I sit down to begin a new pets felting project, I can't help but feel a mix of excitement and uncertainty. The question "How should I approach this one?" always lingers in my mind. It's a process filled with unknowns and anticipation, because each cat I create has its own unique personality and characteristics. This means that every project is a fresh challenge and a new experience.
Throughout the creation process, I've come to realize just how much each cat's individual traits influence my work. Every piece feels like starting from scratch, with no set formula to follow. This approach ensures that each creation is truly one-of-a-kind. However, it also means that the journey is full of unpredictability and hurdles to overcome.
There are times when I hit a creative block, unsure of how to proceed. In these moments, time seems to stretch on endlessly. But when I look back on the entire creative process, I recognize that it's precisely these challenging moments that have helped me grow and improve as an artist. Each setback and moment of confusion has become an opportunity to explore new techniques and approaches. I've discovered that crafting isn't just about the physical act of making something; it's a continuous collision of thoughts and inspirations.
This realization extends beyond my wool felting career and into my everyday life. Even when faced with difficulties, giving up isn't an option. Creativity is an ongoing process, and it's only through constant experimentation and exploration that we can find the most suitable methods and paths forward. I firmly believe that if we persist in our creative endeavors, accumulating experience day by day, there will come a time when our work not only becomes technically proficient but also has the power to warm hearts and convey the value of love. In my opinion, a truly great piece isn't just about technical skill – it should also have the ability to touch people's hearts. My hope is that my wool felted creations can bring warmth, evoke beautiful memories, and inspire smiles. Nothing brings me more satisfaction and joy than seeing someone smile or be moved to tears by one of my pieces.
